the fastest computer in the world

    Hello.

    Ladies and gentlemen...
I am proud to present the biggest and baddest "battleship" the world has ever seen since World War II. I hereby dub her "Yamato II." Here's what she has...

    CD-ROM - Artec 56X
    CD-RW - PlexWriter 48X/24X/48X
CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT - Athlon XP 2400+
    DVD-ROM - LG 16X
    DVD-RW - Pioneer DVR-A04
GRAPHICS CARD - ATi Radeon 9700 Pro
    MEMORY - Corsair PC3200 DDR400 CAS2 512MB
    MONITOR - Samsung SyncMaster 152T
    MOTHERBOARD - EPoX EP-8K5A3+
MOUSE - Logitech Cordless MouseMan Optical 4BTN+wheel
POWER SUPPLY UNIT - Antec True550
WATER COOLING - Innovatek innovaSET2 Water Cooling Kit for Socket 370 / Socket 462 (A)

Hahaha... If anyone can come close to building a bigger "battlewagon" or has beaten what I built, please let me know.

What is more amazing than the power of this great hulking monster is the fact that in only a few weeks, it will be entirely obsolete

Faster computer, just change your cpu to the 2600+ which you can get. Or wait a bit for the 2700+ or 2800+.

That's not really the fastest computer, there are XP 2800 and faster burners.

XP 2800 is not going to be available to next year so really it can not count as a CPU available now.

    Ok then XP 2700.

No one can always have the fastest computer unless you always keep spending heaps of money when the new technology comes out (which is frequent).

Fastest? Think Alpha, SGI, those massively parallel sun servers...

    Think XP 3200000+....

How many calculations per second does the human brain make in order to process all the doings of the body it's in?.
Me thinks thats still the fastest CPU in the world. But then again that would be hard to tell by looking at most people crawling around on this rock.

    Just recently purchased a P4 2.0GHZ Dell Laptop (512MB, 40GB. CDRW/DVD Nvidia 440 Go 64MB).

Before I had even received it, it was outdated as Dell had released a 2.2GHZ....just goes to show you cannot keep up to date!!

If she takes on water though, she'll be sinking and you'll be left with no battleship.
