Windows XP SP1 fix Slow Network Browsing?

DOes the new WinXP SP1 resolve the infamous slow lan browsing? I'm connected to a hub with a second PC using Win2K also attached to it. Browsing from the Win2K to my WinXP machine is instant and a joy. While browsing from the WinXP to the Win2K PC is excrutiating -- simply accessing the other PC's c: can take nearly 45 secs to appear. Why has XP gone backwards? Does the SP1 issue resolve this nuisance?
