    UGH!!


    We had issues running those in certain systems, even with a firmware update and patches for the burning software either for easy cd-creator or nero.

    I like easy cd-creator 5.x (basic version, not platinum) and Roxio 5.5x.
    Clone cd works well too.

    The only complaint I have about Easy Cd-creator is when there are software updates, you have to be a Roxio registered member with the site to gain access to downloads. Man, why did adaptec have to stop supporting such a decent product?

    That is so stupid!!!!



    Nero doesn't do that, thank goodness.

    You should be able to download software patches (games, o.s., applications, etc.) or driver updates from almost anyplace without registration!!!

    Lens list of cd burning programs ( ranked best to worst)

    1. Clone cd - cant get any better for copies - no way !!!! love this program

    2. Nero - excellent, one of the first to alow mo3 to music cd capability - wow that was a long time ago

    the only time i use it is to install on a computer that i am selling or give to someone that is clueless.

    hate the program,

    Very buggy

    bah - ill stick with nero and clone - no substitutes

    The following is the correct configuration for these 3 Devices:

    Primary IDE Port - Hard Drive Master, CD-ROM Drive Slave.

    Secondary IDE Port - CDRW Master (Set Jumper to Master)

    This configuration is especially important for burning "On-The-Fly".

    DMA should also be enabled, if the system supports it.

    Oh, yes - I like both Nero and CloneCD.

    I use Nero for music and CloneCD for backing up Software.
