I've got the OEM version 5.0 that came with my Pioneer A04

I have to agree with jad1097...Nero gave me nothing but headaches. It said I couldn't copy from my CDROM to my CDRW directly because they were on the same IDE channel! (WTF?) Aren't they all? Who slaves a CDROM to the primary?
It also continually encountered errors when copying from HDD temp file to CDR's.
MY Adaptec (Roxio now) works just fine from CD to CD, HD to CD, Image files....everyting.
My Nero CD is a liscensed coaster!

nero has done it all for me with no probs with Win98, ME, 2k, and XP. Very stable and absolutely kick ***! but i do use CloneCD for making copies.

I will tell you one thing. Don't install Roxio 5.2 Platinum on XP. It screwed up my whole comp. When I tried to run PQ Magic 7 Pro it restarted it everytime it began to partiton the drive. You ask how do I know this? I unistalled Roxio and PQ Magic worked perfectly.

I do. I have two HDs and two optical drives. Both Optical drives are slaves. I burn max speed no problem with Nero.

I'll stick to Roxio 5 with WinMe. Had a friend who had Nero, nothing but trouble, he made a lot of really nice coasters with it.
Roxio uses my HP9200 scsi burner wonderfully, soooo

AllGamer..... it's Nero 5.5. I'm using an NEC NR-7800B CDR\CDRW.
I've always heard Nero was the s**t, which explains why I got it.
The drive is OEM, but the software is retail. I suspect some sort of compatabilty issue. The burner works great with Roxio...I even burned the Mandrake image files with it and had no errors.
Mabe I'll check their site and see if they have problems with any particular drives.
