    Sysopt A AMD site! Hehe....

Hmm, funny how AMD suposedly doesnt do any advertising as to cut prices on cpu's cause they are all about the customer not the attitude. Well, well. What greets me at sysopt? A big 'Ole AMD banner changing out of the sysopt banner. Now I love AMD myself BUT having the Sysopt banner convert to AMD add is a bit suggestive! So is sysopt now a amd fan site? Twas never a Intel fan site I can surley tell you that. I prefer it to be not influenced by either brand myself but guess that is the way it goes huh.

Just to ********, I dont mind the add at all. There was intel add also BUT it should be under or above the sysopt banner! Not changing out of it. The Intel add was this way. But the AMD one is part of the banner? Who ever had that idea, came up with a bad one.

Probably the majority of the Sysopt staff are AMD users and have more business using AMD computers than they do with Intel. Just my guess.

AMD recently launched a new ad campaign that is their biggest to date, with the AMD ME slogan. Sysopt has always had a lot of AMD users because people who build their own machines like the price/performance ratio that AMD offers, so it seems appropriate to advertise on this forum. Unfortunately this also means the staff will have to be less tolerant to AMD bashers and what ever you do don't say anything negative about the other advertisers here either, but what the heck, somebody's got to pay the bills.

    I support AMD

Well I dont know about this sysopt turning into a AMD fan Site, I just know that AMD is an excellent Processor and it is a CPU that I can afford (with My budget) I find that the intel is a good platform however I feel that they are overpriced... Dont know what it is like anywhere else in the world but take a look at a typical Canadian Computer store that I shop at

www.tucsoncomputercorp.com click on the price list

I feel I get more bang for my buck with amd than with intel

ut then again this is just my opinion

I post at several TechSupport Forums and found AMD CPU to be the darling on all of them. I think this is due to the fact the AMD K6 chips were the original OC choice. I am not a fan of AMD but I don't let this bother me.

I dont think its fair to say sysopt is an AMD suppoting site, but the majority of those of us who frequesnt it are AMD users, probably down to the fact that AMD are cheaper, yet perform well... therefore this will give the impression Sysopt is AMD biased, its not, its just that most of us here use them, so more oftne than not topics will be relevant to or regarding AMD rather than Intel, thats all... personally i havent seen the ad you speak of P4

I don't know if the site itself is AMD biased, but I am, I've been using them for years, more performance, fewer bucks, and back when Intel had the FPU error and tried to cover it up, I went AMD and haven't looked back.

If this place looks like an AMD fansite, it's because OC'ers and builders like the product, it doesn't cost as much, and runs as well.

I know for a while, Intel had problems with PII's and PIII's dying about a month out of warranty ( give or take a month). It was a heat related thing because they used the higher voltage, and ran near the critical temp all the time. I didn't want to buy a processor every 13 or 14 months, AMD ran cooler. Mine for instance, runs at about 38C, not bad. It's now 5 years old, so, I don't think it's this sites fault, it's the way the market works.

Yep, thats where it is. Now I have no prob. with AMD advertising as a matter of fact I think it is well time they did. BUT like I said having the sysopt logo morph into a AMD logo is pretty sad, sugestive and just plain supid in my opinion. The point was AMD gets special advertising on sysopt vs. Intel/Dell/gateway etc. Now you decide why? To me it shows itself....

Now I have both, like both. Will always prob. buy both. But having a AMD iron glove on every topic is not gonna cut it in my opinion just cause "they pay the bills". Nope not buying it, plenty of other adds run on sysopt. Its not AMD dependent in the least, nor is AMD paying that much either, I'm sure its more of a fan endorsment then it is a matter of $. Now it doesnt upset me or anything, I just thought someone should point it out. A Sysopt morphing logo to AMD banner is like saying Sysopt='s AMD IMHO.

Suggestive that Sysopt is or favours AMD? Sure it does as it comes out of the Sysopt Logo.

Is Sysopt management pro-AMD. Immaterial IMHO. They are probably just being pro-revenue. You do what you have to do to pay the bills; just like me.

Its always been a AMD site

Some people do not know what they are talking about. It just happens to be that AMD has pretty much been "the best bang for the buck" for a couple years now. Both AMD and Intel make great products and just about everyone here knows that. I remember when these forums were full of Intel overclocking threads.

Probably somebody already said it before, maybe a few times ... most users here are DIY, at least the "mature" ones
And DIY market just loves AMD
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers
