Which card should I get now?
Its been a while I didn't update myself with video card news. So I dunno about the market right now? If my budget is around $70 to $80, which card u think i should get ? FYI, I only play Counter Strike and Starcraft....so it is not really graphic intensive.....but I would like to know for that price, what is the best card I should get? Preferable with TV output....Currently I own a Geforce 2 MX400 64MB card. I been searching on pricewatch but worried after i read the reseller rating.
I would be gladly appreciate if you guys can recommend a good site to buy ....beside Newegg since i been there. Just wondering there are any other place that offer cheaper....Any comment is appreciate ...Thank you.
MY system spec
AMD XP 1600
K7S5A mobo
256MB-DDR2100
60GB HD

i'll suggest you to stay with what you have and wait for GeForce 5 to come out
Prices will drop like crazy by then
and with your current budget you might be able to get a good GeForce 4

Me big time SC fan also
and for both SC and CS FPS are not much of an issue

I used my friend's Geforce2 Mx400 64mb before on my athlon 1700xp, it suck man.. it can't support OpenGL on CS (i didnt try but i think it wont support well so i set it on software mode. I have those graphic lag.. and died alot on CS>.<

as i said earlier none of your choices are worth upgrading to
if you like nVidia then get a decent GeForce 4 ti 4200 at the very least
i fyou like ATI, get the Radeon 8500 or 9000 at the very least.

anything else, is a waste of money and not worth upgrading
the GeForce that you have now is more than good enough
my older system with TNT 2 are still kicking

I have an MX400 64 MB card on my current setup and it works fine with CS and SC. It supports OpenGL in CS even at 1200x768, however my prefered gaming res for CS is 800x600 in OpenGL with the MX400.
I should agree with Allgamer, if you need to upgrade you should have a ti4200 or maybe Radeon 9000.
I am waiting for the prices to drop further cuz i'm planning to upgrade too.
