The cheaper one is better, usually.

MSI has the better reputation for sure.

Does the MSI cover o/cing in its warranty? That was the determining factor for me in picking up the Gainward. Although, I'm too lazy and too busy playing games to actually o/c it. Very satisfied myself with the Gainward.

I think that their software allows for it. At any rate, they cannot prove or disprove OCing.

The o/c'er MSI include is real nice.. to overclock the RAm... just press autoadjust and come back in 3 mins time.. voila should hit 600Mhz RAM no problem

Wouldn't the card components show signs of advanced/abundant loading. If you have a new card and within 6 months the GPU is toasted wouldn't that point to OCing. Similiarly, if you have the same diagnosis 2 years down the road couldn't that be attributed to normal wear and tear?

It would still be speculation - not proof. Besides, the autopsy would be expensive!

Yes, that's actually how they track it
but the Release batch date, from the SN# or the PCB #, and how Worn the chips are in the board.

Mmmm....when I get home I am slamming expertool to both redlines and watching the sparks fly.

Hello Mr. Gainward (I am assuming its the guy with the wierd face paint on their website) you can't prove that I just overclocked my Ti4200 to the max even though my GPU became a projectile, so how 'bout you send me one more of those puppies on you, K?

    Hehehe.
