    Tyan S2460 mobo?

Looking to get this mobo here, I have heard that locking the L5 bridge on a regular XP would do the trick for SMP.
    Is this effective?
As far as my XP1900++, its gone I think along with the 1600++
not sure if its the Cheepo bios or something else, but both my K7S5A mobos do not work no more.
Granted I only overrode the bios on one of them.
All the pc does is, runs without booting.
I did get it to run for 3 tries, but I might have tried too much fsb speed, I went upto 148 then to 150 and right after that the pc shut off.
Could this have fried my cpu?
Anyways, how much of a chance would I have locking the L5 bridge and running successfully with dual XP2000 as opposed to dual MP2000?
one more q, do you think there is any prospect for o/c a Athlon Thunderbird on a K7SEM with 320 mb of PC133?
I tried using CPUFSB, but the program does not have this board listed.

    thx for your prompt reply

I was over clocking my soyo kt333 and set the fsb to 150 too and didn't boot up either just black screen, then i shorted the bios out
let it sit for 10 seconds then restarted the machine and presto it came back to life.

Trust me, I've shorted the bios and let it sit for more than 10 mins at a time, I have two cases that have the same mobo, with different chips(Sis730 and ML830) if I got them correct in the ().
I am almost sure they are done.
I'll be doing further testing on them.
right now I am looking on pricewatch.com and the mobo and cpus look very nice lol
    Any advise?

    thx again

Anyway, I went with the ASUS A7M266DL and two Athlon MP 1900++ for a total of 566$ including 2nd day shipping to work.

If anyone has experience with this mobo, let me know what you think, I might still have enough time to cancel.

I just did LOTSSSSS of searching regarding all the dual athlon mp mobos and came up with this one being more flexible, it will use 2 gig of unbuffered mem or 4 gig of registered ecc. I'll start with using my existing 2 sticks of non ecc 256 ddr pc2100.

I will also start with my existing 300 power supply till I can afford to upgrade it.

Later on the 1 Gig of ECC ram and the 4 x30 7200 gig Raid 5 configuration.

I am not intending to o/c the processors, but will be playing with the fsb speed, maybe crank it up just a bit, but that will only happen after I get the power supply.

Oh and the video card would be an Sis315 with 64 mb @ 200mhz.
    u think this will work?

    Any advise is greatly appreciated.
