    Video card bust help quick!

i installed my comp into a new case! (thermaltake)! everything was fine! Played games was surfing the internet! The next day early in the morning i was surfing the web for 1 hour!
in the afternoon my brother calls saying my computer keeps crashing (never happened beforehand). ok the computer loads windows! i can word process etc and even surf the web (like now) but if i load any 3d app it freezes, completly, dead!!

so i uninstalled my video card drivers and reinstalled old first version which came with video card! probelms stayed!
since i couldnt be bother much fixing this i restored my image of my hard drive which is 1 and a half months aga! when restoring i even choose to check for bad sectors and see if writting is done proper!
anyway i wake up it was done! i restart and it acctually worked!!! my computer is the way it was 1 and a half months ago (brilliant).
the error still is there!!!! i gonna reset the bios now and see if this helps but i have a bad feeling my video card is maybe broken! but then again why can i do this? or is my primary hard drive broken? (i dropped it 3 cm) but then again i reinstalled a whole partition and it works!
any suggestions before i go out and spend £££ on a new geforce 4??? help me...........

    athlon xp 1900
creative geforce 4400 (modded with silent heatsink www.quitepc.com)
