Core Voltage Prob!
A couple of days ago i ran Via Hardware software which checks the hardware specs on the voltage, temp, etc. And i hada voltage abnormalty.
When my computer boots it stats the core voltage at 1.54v
for a 650 Duron in a Soyo Sy-K7VYA mobo. The thing is that i'm pretty sure that it has always stated that the computer voltage was at 1.54. AAnywayz I went online and saw that the core voltage should atucally be at 1.6v.
I went inti CMOS to see how i could increase it but the increments aren't small enough to get to 1.6v. I can get t o 1.59 (and the current setting is on default for voltage.
So the two questions i have is should i leave it as it is (System appears to work fine,)
Or w increase it to 1.59 or is there a way to get to 1.6v.
Thnx in advance

whats the max vcore for your duron?
How long has the volts been like that?
is there a setting in your hmoniter to change the vcore default level?

Mod w/ an attitude
If you are basing you info on what the software/motherboard is saying then you only have partial info.
The only way to know EXACTLY what the voltage is would be to use a precision digital voltmeter.
If the system runs and is stable, forget it (if it ain't broke, don't fix it).

You have nothing to worry about. First off Sterling_Aug is right. BUt secondly there is no perfect psu and power caps on mobo. THey will all run alittle under or a tid over. Soem will fluctuate volts up and down especially 12v line. Usually under to be safe. This is intentional. Now-the question is what happens to a under vcored cpu. Answer, stability probs. If you are running stable then dont worry! Also 10%+/- Vcore is the rule of thumb for stability/safty. So your at 1.59 or 1.54vcore is fine as the low is 1.50V and the high is 1.70V. You ahve nothing to worry about and this is typical. My P4 Asus P4T-e does the same thing. But I o'clock so I just bumped the vcore a little. At stock you'll never notice.
