Anyone remember the release of Windows 98 SE on CNN? hahahahahaha

ANyone remember what they did with the New OS?

Gates and some guy from his tech team were showing the new Plug and Play capability by installing a scanner to Windows 98 SE by just attaching the serial port LIVE ON CNN.

Then, ahhahahah! The Blue Screen of Death. The tech. guy doesnt look at the projection board behind him and keeps talking about how amazingly fast it is, and turns around to point at the "should be upcoming OK key." He says, "UUUH whoa~." And closes the laptop screen down.

Everyone starts laughing including Bill Gates. The Gates says, "thats why its not released YET."

Oh man that had to be imbarrasing.

Sweet. Thanx. That is awesome. Everytime Windows crashes Bill Gates grows a horn.

That first clip is great! Thanks Bushmaster. I'd heard about it, but it was great to see it for myself. I'm gonna have to save that one in my archive!

I'm not too pleased with the second clip showing B. Gates getting hit with a cream pie. That's just not cool and it borders on assault.

They should have one for every OS debut. I would have loved to see Windows Me crash 3x as bad as 98 did with the scanner/USB PnP presentation. I still remember the Radioshack Windows 95 advertisement back in August '95 where the guy tells people to reserve their copy as soon as possible before it was all bought out. I didn't want it. I used it for 2 years in high school and it blue-screened left, right, and center. I believe it was the "A" version.
