    Norton Recycling bin problem

I read on Symantec's website that Norton had a problem with XP and the Protected files on the recycling bin. Basically, when I turned on my computer, a pop up would, well, pop up, and it said, "Acess Denied: Drive C." Their solution was for me to boot into safe mode and change the setting on my C drive around. I did what they told me. Now I don't get any more pop ups. But, I have no acess to the protected files, so I have to keep protected files turned off or else i will get the pop up again. Please help.

Why don't you just disable Protection? I use GoBack and it's much better at recovering files.

What I would do is disable Protection and uninstall/reinstall Norton Utilities. As soon as you reinstall it, disable Protection.
