The first one is clocked at 275/275, while the second is clocked at 200/200.

I love ATI, but I must admit the Radeon 9000 is a JOKE!
It's half the price of the Radeon 8500, which is an upside which also makes you wounder....
This card has fewer features than the 8500, its slower, its almost like the the 7000 with T&L (in my opinion, not fact). This card should have been called the Radeon 8000 or the 8300... I heard the 9000 came out I had high hopes for great new features and abilities.... I was disappointed, but hopefully the 9700 and the 10000 will redeem ATI...

This card was meant to compete with geforce 4 mx cards and other ow budget cards, it was not meant for gaming and isnt a gaming card.

Ain't you learning, KraZy_SkitZy ?! Or did you forget to activate your "BS filter" once again ?! STOP CRAPPING !!!

This card was meant to compete with geforce 4 mx cards and other ow budget cards, it was not meant for gaming and isnt a gaming card.
And this is coming from YOU, gibsinep ?!?! Why it is NOT a "gaming card" or "meant for gaming" ?! The only area it competes with GeForce4 MX is a PRICE TAG, which is about same for both cards, but speaking of performance and FEATURES, especially the DX8.1 support - GF4MX doesn't even come close to Radeon 9000, no matter of which clock speeds it running.
My GeForce3 Ti200 is even "weaker" then the Radeon 9000 - is it "not meant for gaming" as well ??

Nd- I have read a few benchmarks and reviews on the 9000 and have read that it is not as good as the 8500 and isnt meant for gaming, please correct me if I am wrong.

Also I am correct in saying it is meant to compete with the geforce 4 mx, I didnt say it was at the same perfomance leval now did I? Even ATI is saying it.

It is the Budget card of the new series and usually budget cards are not the best at gaming, it benches around the same( mostly lower somtimes higher) as the 8500. Just as the Geforce 4 mx benches a little lower than the geforce 3 ti 200.

Sure this can handle every game around now, and probably for a while in the future. I am not doubting that however it I dont believ it was aimed at hard core gamers.

You are putting words in my mouth( or my text)

    edit---- For spelling of course---
