Hey racronus, follow this link to RPGnet.com. They have a lot of information, screenshots, system requirements, etc on Gothic, Morrowind, and a couple other great RPG's. Also, check out their forums, is a wealth of information.

While im here, another gud un, although definitley more focused toward the action side of the genre is American McGees Alice, not much in the line of character developemtn but plenty of puzzles and violent action

The visual effects in the game are also -- impressive and may work well as a temporary substitute for halluconagenic drugz

Let me reccomend the best 3rd person shooter ever(and my favorite game): American Mcgee's Alice. It's graphics are based on a hevily modded Quake III Engine. The sound and music is excelent and the game play is easy to learn. And most importantly IT HAS A PLOT!!!!!! The game (for all puropses) can be called a 3rd person RPG. It is a real cool game and you wouldn't waste any money on it! And yes you only paly 1 character.

I like Blade of Darkness, Max Payne (it has guns though) and um, all the games I like have guns except for
    Driving Games
They're third person and don't have guns.
I like Sports Car GT, Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed, Need for Speed High Stakes, Midtown Madness, Motorcross Madness...
    And flight simulators fit too:
    Microsoft FS2002, X-Plane

I think you were asking about RPG style games, but oh well
This is where my signature would go if I wasn't so lazy.

Hey Bigjakkstaffa , RUNE had a good engine than Blade of Darkness althought BOD let you choose several characters than RUNE but I like the moving and action of RUNE : very smoothly , beautiful graphics and easy to control your character than BOD , Anachronox is a RPG like Final Fantasy series ,if you like 3rd person action/adventure without gun or sword...maybe try GRIMFANDANGO : fun , beautiful graphics , good story , amusing music and sound ...

With giants not only do you get a cracking game, but a lesson in comedy

Some of the lines are hillarious!!

"My names Ahkmed.... but you can call me timmy!"

    "I FORGOT THE BLOODY WIFE!!"

"Besides daddy says im too nervous to play with guns"

    LMAO

    -VERY python-esque

    "American Mcgee's Alice"
    "Giants"

Beat'em both now. Love both games, very good.

Did anyone mention Clive Barker's Undying. If you like Pinhead, chatter box and other charictors of his you'll like the charictors in this game too. Some likness's to his movies but yet still original. Very good game, same controls kinda as alice-but a very heavy plot to it.
