questiong about video cards that have tv output

    Hey guys,
I have a questiong regarding tv out on video cards. I am looking for a PCI video card with a tv output (RCA ONLY) I have managed to pick up a 8mb ati pro rage card. It works fine, but when i play movies VCD there are funky lines around the people faces. NOt sure if this has anything to do with the low amount of MB. Plus when my system starts to get warm after a nice cool down for the night...i start to see lines or some what interference on my tv. maybe its the card... anyway....

would the clarity of an 8mb video card be improved on my 35"tv if i got rid of this one for a 32mb video card? I know that i will be able to play 3d games and so.. but im realy concerned about clarity of text, pictures and movies VCD and DVD.

IF anyone knows which PCI video card with a tv out is a great value... please let me know!!! thanks!!!!!!

    Don't be such a prick.

    Civic:
It sounds like it may be a driver issue, maybe not - you're playing a video from a video CD, or Virtual CD? (Assuming VCD) do you have all the latest codecs installed?

Let us know, we'll help you out

    Added this as an Afterthought:

Older TV-out support on Rage cards wasn't all that great, make sure that the TV-out is NTSC (sp?) not PAL (european standard) that may fix some of the colour/line issues, some of the interference is because of how shoddy tv support was in early videocards (the only good TVout I've used was in the i3D Voodoo 6MB PCI wTV/StereoGraphic OUT)
