    Mixing DDR Memory??

I have 256mb of 2700 333mhz DDR Memory 2.5cas, and I want another 256 can I go with the higher memory say 3500 433mhz for increased performance or can I not mix them?

I'm not sure if you can mix them (depending on your motherboard) but both sticks may go the speed of the slowest stick(agian depends on your motherboard).

    there's no problem with mixing

as long as the new stick is BETTER than the current ones in the system

unless the BIOS can set different speeds for each DDR slot, either the slower will be overclocked(and could fry!!!!!) or the faster one will go the speed of the slower one.

    both statement are true

Thanks for the info I think I will stick with the same speed to avoid any possible problems.
