I think it's gonna be another greek letter followed by byte as yotta and zetta (not sure about about others) are derived from it.

    The root of pi?
During deep sleep IT came to me and the future of processing is clear.
Future processors will primarily be digital tuning radios acting as grid computing nodes.
    Voila. See ya in hell.

So what is that, an old member logging in for a joke; or a newbie using the search function? I think the previous.

wow, i remember this old topic.

back then it was kinda a joke.

but it is not so anymore, we are seriously approaching those crazy numbers.

considering myself i'm already using 3.5 TeraBytes in just my own computer.....

soon we'll past the TeraByte era, and move on to the DuoByte? then TrillioByte, and QuadtuByte? then PentaByte....

    Smile 10^27 xona X

Hey i was trying to answer the same question and found this here (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showt...php?t=331382):

    10^1 deka da
    10^2 hecto h
    10^3 kilo k
    10^6 mega M
    10^9 giga G
    10^12 tera T
    10^15 peta P
    10^18 exa E
    10^21 zetta Z
    10^24 yotta Y
    10^27 xona X
    10^30 weka W
    10^33 vunda V
    10^36 uda U
    10^39 treda TD
    10^42 sorta S
    10^45 rinta R
    10^48 quexa Q
    10^51 pepta PP
    10^54 ocha O
    10^57 nena N
    10^60 minga MI
    10^63 luma L

The proposed (but not official) system. However, Yotta is the next to last greek alphabet letter - the last one would be the Omega. It could be that the next one would be the Omegabyte - which sounds **** cool. After that they should abandon the Greek system and go to something else - like Egyptian.

I dont know how true this is. I just found it
