Cant get my web cam to work.

I have an intel usb web cam and i installed it using the cd and when i open the software to use to cam is says "cant connect to capture device, another application my be using it". So i go into device manager and nothing is wrong with my usb controller and hub. Then i realease that i dont have imaging devices in my device manager, could that be the problem? and if it is how can i fix it?

expand the + signs in your USB devices list, and see if the camera is listed there.

if it's not, then it hasn't installed properly.

    if it's

check that no other program has control over the webcam, before you try to use it.

MSN, yahoo, or anyother IM software will do that.

I expanded the + and i only have SiS 7001 PCI to USB Open Host Controller and USB Root Hub. I closed those programs and i still get the same error message.

Change the driver for the SiS 7001 PCI to USB Open Host Controller to "Standard OpenHCI USB Host Controller". If this is XP, download and install the SiS Registry patch:
