    RAM?

I have a Via Mvp3 motherboard and I am wondering what type of ram it supports? And Since i have 128 mb of PC66 right now I was wondering if there would be a big performance boost going to pc133 128 mb? thanks

thats not the name of your motherboard, its the name of your chipset. The name of your motherboard would be nice to know...

That would be 168-pin SDRAM PC133-150.

If the board supports PC 133-150 ram it will be very pleased with the upgrade. Just don't mix the old with the new or you'll still be cruising on Route 66.

One thing - you won't see any real performance increase from running faster memory if you're still running a K6/Cyrix CPU. You will just have more headroom.

Don't be shy - step up to a new motherboard!

Thanks for all the replies, I have a AMD k6-2 350 so would that mean I should only go with pc100 and that pc133 wouldnt help me anymore than pc100? Also Ive never heard of pc150, any idea where I could get it? thanks

Although PC133-150 won't give you better performance, it certainly won't hurt. It's about the same price as standard PC100 these days.
