    hi frds
    iam new here and i ned some help
    iam more familiar with w98 and want 2 try out w2k
    what are the sy utilkities over her taht speed up the sys
    (like msconfig in w98)

    WELCOME TO SYSOPT !!

    well there are alot of administrator tool available in windows 2000. But overall it is 1000% more stabe and MUCH faster, so major tweaking is usually NOT required.
    it is always the last thing you check...

    win2k doesn't have msconfig, but you can use the msconfig copied from a winxp system.

    you'll want to disable services you don't need. here's a link:
