    ATI vs Maxtor??????????

    With both the Readon 9700 and the Maxtor Parhelia coming out, this should make a good match up. Games that support the cards "Special Features"(i.e. ATI's HyperZ technology) will be something to watch for. But thankfully there is something call OpenGL and Direct X to make cards follow some standard. Now gimmie links so I (the average Joe) can compare!

    It's not MAXTOR it's called MATROX !!!

    THESE are 2 separate companies that shares nothing in common, nor they are cousins companies.

    MAXTOR = HDD
    MATROX = Video

    The MATROX card has been out for a month now.
    Had mine for a couple months.
    It ROCKS.
    I've been playing Jedi Knight II in triple screen surround mode since last week, and it is something that must be experienced to be appreciated.
    The image quality is top notch, and the drivers are rock solid.
    And reguardless of what FPS counting reviewers who base their conclusions on nothing more that 3DMark scores, I can say this card is PLENTY fast with everything I've tried on it.

    As for the links, check out forums.matroxusers.com for all the Parhelia info you can handle in the Matrox Hardware forum, and if you look in the General Hardware/Software forum, you will find several discussions about the new ATIs as well....

    Whos gona pay for that matrox card? You would have to be out of your mind to pay that for the card when you could get a radeon 8500 for less than 100$... It ight be nice but my vote goes to ATI I can afford there hardware.. Kinda like AMD vs Intel you want more bang for your buck... Then you have the but the 3 screen station? geez

    Not only do they both start with ma**** but they both use the same letters, just in a different order.

    It depends what you want. If you want the 3 moniter support or higher FPS.

    For a minute I though we were comparing a hard drive maker and a video card maker.
