Hi all, fiddling about last night trying to change bootlogo.

This meant copying, changing and overwriticing C:\windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

Upopn reboot i get a ntoskrnl missing or corrupted, please reinstall file. However i cant boot up in safe mode and to repair i need my raid drivers whicj are - yup - on the HDD...

However i made a backup of ntoskrnl.exe in the C:\ root.

Im a little loat to format etc, so i was wondering if i could possibly use my win 98 CD to boot to prompt and copy c:|ntoskrnl to C:\windows\system32...

Would this work or would file protection bite me??

If this didnt work would it be poss to install 98 on D: part and carry out the above form there...

Need reponses quickly plz, please notify me at gnvq1@manorcollege.org.uk as soon as poss (today plz )
