I dont think you should over clock at all..
XPs dont overclock vvery well. even if you did overclock you can only get 50-75mhz more!!!

AMD T-Bird -- NOW THERES A CPU THAT O/c's well
Likewise the p4 is supposed to be good too, although ive heard very negative things about the XP+ ranges's o/c ability.

the only way to easily increase an XP's core speed is by increasing the FsB of the motherboard. Either do this trough the bios or by a software program in windows, but as you know by noe they dont overclock much. I have got my XP1800@1.53GHZ to run at 1.64GHZ stabally. I can oush it to 1.7GHZ but its not worth the risk, as the temp gets up to 60 degrees ish while at the moment its on 44

my freinds 1800+xp will not even post at 140mhz FSB, even with +.2voltage

alrighty, thanks everybody, still waitin for that darn proc to get here, i got a new case and kt3 ultra mobo last friday and we spent all weekend troubleshooting why i had no video, tried everything and finally concluded it was the proc, cuz the 1.33 tbird i was running had been chipped on the core and so we through 2 diff procs in there and it worked both times and we put the tbird in a diff comp and it wouldnt work. Not to sure how it got chipped, but i think it might be from the thermometer sensor on the case cuz it has a cool thermometer on the front, but oh well, now i got a good board (upgraded from ecs k7s5a ) and about to have a new proc
