thats great. still no word from the web hosts, i guess it'll be monday at the least before its sorted properly.

I've fixed the errors you spotted anyway. what happened was that I got one profile how I wanted it and then copied and pasted it so i could paste the other profiles into that all in a uniform style, only thing is I picked up a hyperlink somewhere too so most of the profiles ended up with it. then i changed the original hyperlink, leaving everyone with a dead link, which sometimes is hard to spot in frontpage (you have to hold down 'ctrl' before the mouse will spot a hyperlink). soreted now, but until i hear from the web host i'll have to wait before i can upload the changes.

how do i disband the team for sysopt users 2002? it wont let me do it.

you can't disband the team because you are not the founder of the team. disbanding the team would remove all the members from the team and delete the team completely.

I don't think that's what you want to do anyway is it?

if you want to leave the team you just need to click on the word 'Quit' at the top left of the team page and then enter your e-mail address and password.

we'd be sorry to see you go, but it's your choice. remember you can come back at any time without it affecting your completed WU's.

how come you're going anyway? the website should be up by tomorrow, and you could have your profile up to see the world.

I'll also be offering POP3 (both send and recieve) e-mail access to all members(yourname@setiteam.com), and the chance to have your own sub-domain on the site, however you want it (no porn/warez obviously).

did you send me a profile yet Mutant_Donkey? I don't remember if you sent me one or not. you don't have to of course if you don't want to.

BTW for those of you that don't know already from reading my Sig since last night, the website is up and I'm now just waiting for the domain name to propagate which should be done by tonight, so keep trying for www.setiteam.com and sooner or later today it will finally pop up.

I just tried it now though (1.30pm GMT) and it's not up yet, but it won't be long.

It's amazing how much you can acomplish by going over the heads of all the low down tech support people and shouting at someone higher up about customer satisfaction.

I sent a letter to tech support with 'TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICES MANAGER (PRIVATE)' in the subject line. I had a reply in under 2 hours when every other reply was taking 24.

All it said was 'it's all done now, please contact me personally if you require anything else'.

2 hours. I spent from tuesday night last week to last night getting nowhere, and got the whole thing done in under 2 hours by shouting about it.

I really shouldn't have had to, but that's the way things are, you don't shout, you don't get!

the old domain was taken offline as soon as the request for the new domain was put in unfortunately, but the new one will be up tonight fingers crossed. it's already propagating, so given that it's supposed to take around 24 hours to get that done (it took almost exactly that with the last domain name), and it was started at midnight GMT last night so it'll be done sometime tonight. if it's not there's going to be some trouble

I'm getting nothing at the moment either. the hosts www.powweb.com are in California i think (it says CA on the site, thats california isn't it?) and according to them they are getting the new URL OK at the moment >>> www.setiteam.com so could somone try it again and let me know.
