    win98se setup switch

Could anybody inform me on which is the setup switch for installing win98se over win98? The one that instructs the system to ignore previous versions.

    Thanks'

hmm...thats a toughy..a simple solution would be to get hold of a upgrade copy of win98se or simply wipe out win98fe and then install win98se from scratch...

    Welcome to SysOpt

Boot off your 98 startup disk.
Find and Rename win.com to win.old
Launch the setup off the cd
Be sure, when asked, to use the same C:\Windows folder

    Yes, it's x:\setup /NTLRD
Where, of course, 'x' is the cdrom drive letter. But type it just as I have it, with the space and cap letters as the switches. It allows a full retail version to act as an upgrade version.
