Registry problems?
Open for suggestions or information.. A few weeks ago I downloaded a program from Camtech2000 (http://Camtech2000.net) on an 18 day trial basis. The program MemoryPro or Memory Check Pro. a very good program to Provide Utilization information on Resources, Memory, including the name of each program on start up and the percentage of Resources assigned to those programs. If you have ever attempted to recover resources by dis-abling programs , it will be and experience in futility.
This program tells you exactly where Resource Memory is being used . Following 18 days I liked this program so well and it had notified my that my time limit had expired, I decided to register the program - which I did. Un installing the trial program I then installed the registered version. Only part of the program the options , will run, another portion will not function. Just simply puts an ICON on the task bar, and clicking on the task ICON produces nothing, no properties attached, and it can be closed. I feel sure a blockage has been placed in the Registry, preventing an extended use of the trial version. I have contacted their support, and they deny any problems that might remain plugged in. The program works ok, in a borrowed computer. I have been all through searching in the Registry, always backing up first, removing only any reference I can find which would be listed under Camtech or MemoryPro. So far no solutions- Not all that important just bugs me.. Thanks for reading this "Oldtimer"
