    swap file

Using W2K, how do I setup the swap file on its own partition?

right click on my computer - click properties
click on advanced - performance options
click on change in virtual memory
click on the drive letter you want to add a swap file to
enter the min and max size (usually the same number)
    click set

you should add a second swap file rather than move it entirely.

one more thing. it doesn't help much if you move the swap file to a different partition on the same drive. you should have 2 drives and put a second swap file on the second drive.
