fault message trying to access msn chat rooms
    hi folks,
this problem appeared yesterday, (monday), while tring to log in to an msn chat room: "IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in
    module <unknown> at 0000:7b41171c.

    i have win 98-se, with i.e. 6.0---my cpu is a 1.0 g duron, with 256 m. ram.....
i initially thought it was an msn chat problem...they are notorious for having problems....but, i went ahead and aggresively scanned for any viruses, and ran scandisk and defrag last night...
this morning, i re-installed i.e.6.0,............everything i've done so far, has been no help...i am still getting this message, when i try to log on to msn chat rooms.....everything else seems to be working okay.

any advice, or any tips on something i may have missed?

    thanks..

I doubt zone alarm is causing the problem but its easy to check. From the desktop, right click the zone icon and choose shutdown.
then try to get on msn chat.

this sounds more like a memory problem or a stale page or a bad cookie.

delete all cookies ( I presume you know how)

from the internet options clear all history and files

if all this fails remove 1 of the memory strips and try again

replace it and remove the other strip.

Invalid page fault in module xxxx is usually a memory strip failure or possibly just loose.
