    dumb &^%* printer

HP Laserjet 5L. Usually when I turn off the printer and then turn on the printer warms up. This printer doesn't. The printer stopped working. Usually light green on the printer but now it's yellow and printer went fubar. What does fubar stand for again?
Curious is worth repairing or recyle the printer to the trash. I took apart the printer piece by piece everything looks fine. did it after it broke. Thanks.

LOL. Took it all apart did ya! I'm getting a pic of Joe Izuzo saying " I know where all the parts go". LOL.

Seriously. Usually resetting the memory by shutting it off and unplugging the printer resolves most errors. Take a look over at http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/lights5.html for the light error codes + other info.

Fubar: f---ed up beyond all recognition. May be if you can't remember where all the parts go.

Snafu: Situation normal all f----- up. Applies to most of us.

    Cheers!

I believe it means "fusion bar" !
It's a cylinder, with a halogenic lamp inside, which sticks the toner to the paper. You may need to replace it!
In order to you to understand , compare a fusion bar in a laser printer; to a cartridge in a deskjet printer.
It just doesn't print from air, does it?
