    50% Memory Only

    Clone Computer
512 MB memory only showing 256MB
    Gigabyte GA-6BXC Mobo . PC100 FSB
    Windows XP

I installed 512MB of memory I brought from a computer fair, but they only show up as 128MB modules.
My Mobo manual says it supports 256MB modules or are there some modules that don't work correctly on this Mobo
the modules were PC133's but I did'nt think that was a problem.

My old modules were single sided but I don't remember about the ones in now I'll have to have a look later, are you saying that maybe only single sided modules might only work on my mobo.
    Thanks DTech

this is what the website says:

    3 x 3.3V DIMM Sockets
Supports 8/16/32/64/128/256 MB SDRAM DIMM Module

    try upgrading the BIOS too.

I had a board that only supported double sided 256Mb sticks not single and it only saw half the RAM, the board could only handle 128MB per side.
