Out of the goodness of someone's heart?

Im puzzled. I recently bought a brand new duron processor(1 ghz) for 45 dollars. When I got it and threw it into my system it registered at 1.33 ghz. Did someone overclock this for me? It runs at about 44 C and w/ no problems. Is it possble they messed up my order in my favor? Any ideas? thanks.

or maybe your FSB is set to 133 MHz instead of the 100MHz FSB which is what the Duron is supposed to be set to......either that or they sent you a 1.3 gig Duron...lucky you

I imagine your right seeing how its a 10x multi that would be 1.33gig on the dot. Hey running cool at that though! Thats what threw me off, mine runs that at stock and its a 1gig duron (morgan core) too. That should be like at 50 or maybe 55 that high of a O'clock on stock HSF. Puzzleing???

If that 1GHz Duron is a Morgan, and the same stepping as the 1.3GHz Duron, then there's no reason why it shouldn't OC as described.

After checking my bios I noticed that my FSB is at 133. Is it supposed to be at 100? Sound like I accidentally overclocked it? HAHAHA oops......

Yea it "should" be at 100 but what the heck it works, is stable, and temp is great so why not keep your extra 300 mhz and keep the FSB at 133.
