Old Baby AT MB = New processor?

Hi all. I have an older board with a Celeron 400 on it. A PCCHIPS M748LMRT to be exact. I want to upgrade the processor to keep my old PC around as a backup when my wife and I are arguing who gets to use the good PC, lol. I saw one site long ago that said I could put a P3 800 in it but can't find it now. I would like a P3 between 500 and 900. Probably can't go that high but would the fastest possible. I have emailed many sites and the board manufacturer but have gotten no responses. Can someone help me? Email me with any questions or comments at thedevilusay@excite.com. Thanks.

Visit the discussion forum on the PC-Chips Lottery:

Many people have put newer processors into their 741 and 748 boards, go read what they found out.

    regards, Peter
