LoL dont laugh if i'm wrong..

what i think when i have only 64ram it kind of slow.. then when i add 64ram on it didnt make huge different..
it didnt really make much i believe czu the 64Mb can support most of stuff --; example like.. my cousin's 900Mzh play the game still good but on my 1700xp kind of same..

Here is a graph that shows what the lack of extra 64Mb's can do on the G4Ti4200. It seems that the 128Mb version handles the higher video resolution better when there are large textures.

Installed the 28.32 drivers and boosted 3DMark2001 score to 7512.

Also noted that PSTRIP reports the gpu speed at 125Mhz. Is the GPU on a 2x multiplier?

Maybe PowerStrip doesn't fully support that latest GPU yet. Tried the latest Beta ? Doesn't seem to me that videocard will have multiplier on the GPU

You're right, ND. I located a newer version and it shows the proper speed. I overclocked the card to 300/500 with no problems. With the 28.32 drivers on WinXP, I got a score of 8163 in 3DMark2001.

I ran TIMEREFRESH on my favorite Quake II game and got 800fps at 800x600 and 331fps at 1600x1200. That's awesome...

I noticed that when my pc is powered on, nVidia is displaying a stats splash screen similar to the way 3dfx did with the Voodoo3 2000 card. Hmmm. Is this some 3dfx technics added to the nVidia line?

I also noticed the 2d clarity is better than the G3 series. I would say that the G4 has caught up with ATI. I'm patiently waiting to see what other folks reaction will be.

Glad to hear that the 4200 tis are a worthwhile purchase. A co-worker of mine got an MSI 4400 ti the other day and I've been drooling over that, but after reading this I think I'll stick with my original plan of getting a 4200.

    Thanks for the info, Jimstep!
