install Geforce 2 gts 32 getting (code 10)

    Hey gurus,
    I am upgrading to a new Geforce2 gts 32mb
and getting this error in device manager:

(code 10) Device cannot start. (exclamation point)

after looking online for help in this problem i cam across this BIOS issue: Assign IRQ to VGA (now enabled)
this did not help and the card does not receive an IRQ number on POST boot.

My mobo: DFI K6BV3+ (rev. A)

I also tried installing the latest 4-1 via drivers and alternate nvidia drivers still no luck. All i know is that this is a bios issue and i am not sure if power supply / mobo / ram could be a problem.

the origional card was a voodoo 3 /3000 which worked fine and was uninstalled properly.

    any info is greatly appreciated.

I still can't get this card to receive an IRQ number!
I tried moving cards around, and reinstalling drivers... no luck

    what else can I try?

Does your BIOS have a setting PCI/AGP boot first, and set to AGP? I believe that both Windows AND the BIOS try to assign IRQ addresses. If at all possible, obviously you'd want it set to auto. (But one thing you forgot to mention is if your card is AGP or PCI). My BIOS reserves an IRQ for the AGP slot, and I imagine so would yours. There is the destinct possiblity that you'd need a video bios update, although I'm not sure if they are even offered for the end user such as us. If you have since fixed this issue, please let us know how you did it...

You might also be able to reserve interrupts manually in the BIOS.
