Athlon XP 2100+ and ASUS A7V266-E

    Greetings!

I have an Athlon XP 2100+ CPU and an ASUS A7V266-E motherboard. I also installed the latest BIOS (1006) that I could find on the ASUS website... but, when I boot, it reports that I have an XP 1733 CPU. Neither of the settings in the BIOS setup screen makes it report that I have a 2100 CPU...

Does anyone know if I just need to wait for a new BIOS update, or is there something I am doing wrong?

    Thanks!

The clock speed of a 2100+ is actually around 1733. THe bios is giving the right clock speed, but not calling it the right chip. It should be OK. My 1800+ stock speed is 1539.8 MHz so you are about right. If you are OCing or adjusting something that 1733 just does not correspond to a CPU name. If you are running stock , the Bios is not updated to recognize it yet. It should not effect performance though.
Things that make you go HMMMMMM...
