MS Word: Setting Protection on a cell in a table, etc. ?

In either MS Word 97 or 2000, when setting up a table, is it possible to do one of the following:

    1) Set the cell to be READ ONLY? In other words, not allow overwrites?

    2) Protect the Cell

    3) To skip the cell when using the Tab key to move from cell to cell?

I have developed an Application whereby people may open the Appliction in Word and begin filling it out ....and I've setup a Large Table with the questions, possible answers, and open ended areas for responses. When the applicant tabs from one cell to the next....I'd like to make the the Cells that the applicant should NOT make any entries read only....this is the cell where I've typed in the question.

Is this possible? I don't see a way to do it after initially searching.

    Thanks,
    Brian

I prefer to use Word for this. Draw a table and bring up the Forms toolbar. You can add all sorts of interactive field with this. When you're done, you can lock the form and make it read-only. Have the users save as new.

Excel can do this too. Get the forms toolbar there too. Seach Help for lock forms.
