Yeah but so far nothing that reasonable. For some reason the older ones start out a good price but then someone from a poor country where a 486 is big power way jacks up the bid up. Still hopeing!

I've got a Toshiba Satellite PA1217UV. Has a Pentium class CPU (not sure of speed though). No OS installed, just one small program for Turbo Buicks. I've never had a chance to use it since I got it and may never. 8MB RAM and a 5xxMB hard drive. Needs a new battery, otherwise appears to work fine. Has a 3.5" floppy drive, printer port, PS/2 port, COM port, and a monitor port. I'm not too experienced with laptops and don't want to experiment with a known good one like this is. I have just checked it using the supplied household current power cord. E-mail me if interested.

dna_level_c7 - hey, thanks for keeping track - time to break open some champagne, and now I know what to put on my tombstone

hey Steve - long time no talk to - laptops on it's way to buyer overnight so he'll get it Monday afternoon, Tuesday a.m.

seen laptops like yours used as linux machines, not much more

I managed to load mine up w/ W95, Office, Outlook Express, etc. but no question it's tough as there's very little documentation but mine had a faster CPU, 16 meg RAM, 56k modem, bigger HD, etc. so it ran fine

very reliable machine and works great for typical school, internet stuff.
