How to keep the website icons?

How do you keep the website icons in your fav's from disappearing after deleteing cache? Gettin' tired of all those Blue e 's. This should be within my grasp , but it elludes me...

Could try this->Before deleting temp files, open explorer and go to the favorites folder. Right click on each one->properties->general tab->mark it as read only.

Or, you can go into the temporary internet folder and copy the icons from here and save them in another folder. Then just change the icon and point it to where you saved the icons.

I've been using it for over a year now. It's slow getting all the icons the first time, but once you do, you'll be happy.

I'm using Win XP Pro and IE 6.0.
