Video tuneup to eliminate Sandra report item

How do I fix up my GeForce 3 Ti 200 to get the following out of my Sandra 2002 system report:

Tip T2513: AGP Bus is unused or AGP card not fully AGP compatible.
Tip T2525: Current AGP data rate not optimal.

I am having a lot of games crash out to the desktop and I am trying everything to fix it.

Are you using a VIA chipset mobo ? You may have then to install VIA 4in1 pack with GART driver in "Turbo" mode to enable AGP 4x support.

I'm using a Gigabyte board, the 8SRX, which is Sis 645 chipset. Bios has been flashed to the most recent release, "F8."

Taking a clue from you, I just went and poked around Gigabyte's site for downloads other than Bios updates. I found this, which seems to suggest I need to use a Gigabyte-supplied video bios and/or video driver if I want my vid card to be fully functional.

Or, as they so colorfully put it, "In order to ensure your graphics card working correctly, please use official Gigabyte BIOS only. Use none official Gigabyte BIOS might cause problem on the graphics card."

I've got a GeForce 3 Ti 200.. I'm not sure which of their odd abbreviations correspond to that chip. My best guess is 3200, but I'm not eager to proceed with updating my video Bios on a guess. I dont even know how to update that.

I also get a bad CRC when I try to read the Word document contained in the 3200 zip file. That makes me even LESS eager to proceed!

    Try this SiS645 AGP driver.

Well, I installed 4 new case fans last night and had the longest uninterrupted gaming session yet on the new rig.... it was never interrupted. I guess my vid card was just getting too warm.

I think I will leave off pursuing this issue from the system reports until I have OCed successfully. At the point where I become benchmark-obsessed, I will return to seeking perfection I'm not noticing any performance issues for now, though.

Thanks for the help, ND. I wasn't aware before that board chipset makers released video firmware/software too. Weird. =)
