    XP Processes question

    I have Win XP installed on my machine, I looked in task manager and noticed that I had 5, SVCHOST.exe running????

    Anyone know why and if I can disable any of the tasks to free up memory?

    Also does anyone know what all the other things are, I know what some are but the others have got me perplexed???

    I have included a screen grab to enable you to see what my PC was upto at the time, I have Norton antivirus and Morpheus running in the start menu.

    I noticed all that **** running too. I don't know what to keep on or off either.

    If you want to know what that service is running. Go to control panel> Admin tools>services. Right click on the service then properities. Then go to the dependenicies tab. It will tell what that one is doing.
