In the mood for a little self torture?

I have Linux running on a couple machines with Windows 95. You can dual boot the operating systems so there is no need to uninstall your Windows 98. Linux is faster at some things and slower at others.

People like me go to Linux as a curiosity and wind up learning more about computers than they really wanted to know. Many others use Linux because it is a more versital and powerful OS than Windows 95 or 98, perhaps more than Win NT.

A little insight: initially configuring and learning to work with Linux without someone to help you is a frustrating experience to say the least. It requires a lot of reading and a lot of patients. On the up side, if you love computers and like challenges, Linux can give you a sense of accomplishment even when succeeding at simple things - such as putting an icon with a symbolic link on your desktop or connecting to your ISP. Or getting a $^%#$ing sound card working for that matter.
