    need help on how to make dual boot,,,ME & XP pro

    Im running win ME now ,& i just bought win xp pro upgrade recently. I know that a lot of games would not work in wins xp pro.
    So I decided to make a dual boot between ME & XP professional. I dont mind formatting my 40 gig hdd & reinstall both programs, can anyone help/guide me step by step? thanks in advance

    Two partitions, C: marked Active. First install ME on C:, and then install XP on D:.

    my xp pro is an upgrade version, can i used this to a clean install in the 2nd partition?

    Yes. You will need a WinME CD to verify ownership.

    when i used the 98 bootdisk to install xp in the 2nd partition, when I try to do setup for xp , it(the xp cd) say doesnt run in dos mode? what should I do now

    Go into BIOS setup and set the boot sequence to favor the CDROM drive. Now just boot from the CD. Don't forget to reset the boot sequence.

    You can also run the WinXP CD setup from within WinME or use the Windows XP setup floppies.
