Compuserve or Prodigy ?
Does anybody have any experience with these internet service providers ?
I currently have AOL, but I'm planning to switch to either Compuserve or Prodigy.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Perhaps you should try a local ISP. I can't really advise a switch from one evil conglomerate to another. But I suppose Compuserve & Prodigy are lesser evils to AOL.
Perhaps a coin toss is in order.
(sorry for the rant, no offence intended)

Compuserve 2000 (last year of millenium) sent CDROMs to all LA Times Sunday subscribers a few weeks ago. "X00 free hours of connect time" implies future time is costly.
Prodigy has been in trouble and silent for quite a while.
I've been OK with Earthlink for 7 months. They're good about preventing SPAM.
I've heard AOL makes it hard to disengage.
Good Luck.

Another Earthlink user here. Great tech support & cheaper than AOL. Used to have AOL, didn't find them hard to disengage, and they did charge me for another month after I had given notice - but they did quickly reverse that. Not so great tech support.
Compuserve - tried them once about 4 months ago. Found it very slow. Couldn't hang with that.
No experience with Prodigy.

I just signed up with Prodigy and I love it. I'm getting $9.95 a month unlimited access for 3 months and $19.95 for every month after that. No setup fee, and a 30-day money back guarentee. If you don't like it, they'll send you $10 for the first month.
If anyone wants their CD, let me know, and I can send you one for free. It's really a great ISP. I'm connected right now at 39.6 on my 56k.
