    GForce2MX400 w/ a whacked out D3D bug!!!

Ok, I have have an age old p3/500 with 256megs of SDRAM w/ an Intel Bx mobo (2x AGP) and I swapped out my dusty voodoo3/3000 with a GForce 2 MX400 to see what all the hype was about.
With my BIOS and mobo settings tweaked through the roof w/o overclocking I'm catching 60 fps at LEAST in all D3D and OpenGL games! My OpenGL games cut like a knife through hot butter. Nothing short of perfection .... However . My D3D games have "cross eyed" "double image" when I turn or whatever the hell you call that so bad I could just puke all over my monitor
What's so whacked out about it is, I'm getting awsome framerates in D3D but this **** is still infesting my graphics. I've tried every config in the book and "not in the book" there is. Nothing fixes it.
btw. Optimal settings for OpenGL on my comp are 640x480@120hz and D3D is 800x600@110hz(640x480 is horrible in D3D for some reason)

Did you remove all your old 3Dfx drivers? I have heard that Voodoo drivers like to hide in your system in an attempt to sabotage any upgrade to a better card . Seriously, try reinstalling your MX and make sure you remove all your video adapters from device manager, restart as standard pci vga adapter, then try installing drivers for your MX. If you still have problems, you may need to go through your registry and remove any 3dfx remnants. You have to admit though, it is nice to run 32 bit color!

Time to do a backup I'm afraid!

I did the same upgrade!Dont you believe their isnt any 3dfx drivers there. They are in the reg and etc. yet.VisionTek says you cant fully remove them even if you clean the registry. The only solution is a reinstall of windows and most recomend a format even(thats what I did).I had the same prob.I now have a G3 but I got the g2mx400 first. This effects all Nvidia cards when upgradeing from 3dfx cards.

Reinstall windows and boom your cards gonna work-I've seen this prob. so many times on forums like this and I was right everytime.
