Ultra Compact Mini-ITX Form Factor Motherboard

Leave it to the Germans to make the next cool thing They're incredible engineers.

Honestly...with the trend towards smaller cases, it wouldn't surprise me to see more 1/2 height PCI cards or a revival of something like a riser card for PCI...if PCI even sticks around.

A true gamer will still use a huge tower tho

Oh well...I guess smallization is good

i think it's a good idea. the smaller a case is, the easier it is to keep cool. my other system has a 110mm fan in it just to keep it happy in summer . . .

besides, i really want a desktop case for this system. i always wanted a desktop case, and this now form factor makes it more probable to have a cooler one. if i don't have to worry about the cooling or configuration, i don't need to worry about being able to open it. way to go guys

I don't necessarily think it's a bad idea...I just don't think it would be an ideal solution in every situation

But I can definitely see myself buying something using this new form factor...useful for a general use system (web surfing/word processing kind of stuff or even as a small SOHO server, I would most likely use it as a gateway/router kind of thing w/ Linux under the hood
