Measuring Temperature in PIII
Does anyone know how to measure temperature on PIII, Intel says that they come ready for it. read this
I have ABIT BX6 rev 2 and it has an extra conector to monitor Temperature, if I use this connector, where do I place the 10 Kohm thermistor???
If you use a program like motherboard monitor, it should tell you the temps of your CPU, system and SMART HDD.
Check the disc your motherboard came with if you put it together yourself. There could be a monitor hidden on there.
Are you saying that the PIII already feeds the info to the MB and if you have some software that monitors it you can tell what it is.
If that is the case pont me to where I can find the software, please,
YA even i would like to know my CPU temperature can some pls tell me how do i do that...if its posible
Mod w/ an attitude
I use Motherboard Monitor on my BX6-Rev 2.
There is no need for any extra wires or cables to read the temp. The BX-6 Rev2 has a chip on the motherboard which interfaces with the internal thermister inside of the P2/P3 Slot 1 prosessors.
Hmonitor says 39 C for the MB and 45 C for the CPU. Are these normal Temps??
