Lost Recycle Bin - Need Help!!!

I tried to access my recycle bin and got the following message:

    Windows cannot find program.exe

This program is needed for opening file of type 'Recycle Bin'.

Where can I find this file? Please if someone can give me some help it will be greatly appreciated. Make it simple, I'm new to this. Thanks in advance. ladyJ

The last time I saw this problem it was the result of a virus infection. I would run a antivirus scan if nothing is found i would reinstall Windows over itself.

There should be additional info in the error message. Windows uses program.exe in error messages to mean "a program that should be associated with this file if I ever had one"

Since it isn't likely you tweaked the recycle bin away on your own, run an online virus scan such as "House Call" and then download Anti-trojan.exe and run it.

Yep, run virus scan, then if using windows 98X run sfc and search for missing or corrupt files.
