Running an older game w/o the CD

Does anyone know how I can get C&C: Red Alert to run from a network CD drive? I just setup 2 * 4 PC networks at school and my friends and I want to play this game over it. The problem is that currently only one computer on each network has a CD drive. We do have one "external" CD drive that we could use, but then we still only have 2 people playing. Is there a crack out there that would let me run the game from wherever? I don't consider this to be piracy because we have 7 game CDs, but only 2 drives to put them in. Copying the CD's to the HD isn't really an option, because they are 850mb ones with only a couple hundred megs free. Is there a way that I could copy the games to the HD's without the movies? That should get the size down to about 200mb.

ps. the computers are IBM 166-200's w/32mb of ram, 850mb HD's and Windows98SE. The networks are both 10mbps with 4 computers on each hub.

Their are tons of No cd cracks out for the game if you installed the game to each computer with your external cd drive.

After you install it you could probally just delete the movie folder.

a crack is gonna be the way to go. as for installing the game, most games will install but not run. If you copy the contents of the CD onto the Hard drive of the machine with the CD Rom and then share that directory where the CD image is. You would be able to install the game on other terminals over the network. Then go here and use the ASTALAVISTA search engine and you should get the appriate crack for your game, crack the games on the terminals, and bobs your uncle fanny's your aunt and you can play multiplayer.

[Link corrected, but as i am feeling friendly, if you PM me with the software version and title and i'll find the crack for you and put it on my site and send you a link, can't say fairer than that]

My bag I am so sorry, I put the link as Astalivista, which after some checking and nearly a ban of my user account you are all correct, it is a porn site.

    the link should be

The above site is a "security site" as they like to call it but is has some search engines on it for cracks. the Astalavista search engine is clean. But be for warned, some of the sites where the cracks are may have banners or pop-ups.

Again i am sorry for the whole porn link thing.

Forgive me if i'm wrong here BUT, arnt you promoting something illegal there m8??? no cd patches are one thing i've used before and can save wearing my disk into the ground and killing my cd rom before its due time (ie constantly checking for the disk can eventually shorten the drives life span) but what you're suggesting to look for is a crack...my definiton of that would be 'craked open' sofware as in the stuff you dont pay for...

I didnt think this sort of thread would be allowed but hey ho...

Thx for letting me stick my opinion up...

cracking games is not illegal if you own an orignal copy of the game, which in this case is true. Granted the user wishes to play it on more than one computer at a time, but are you honestly telling me that if you bought a game and wished to play it on more than one computer in your house at the same time, you would go out and buy another copy to do this?????
Didn't think so, as you may well know many games come with mutliplayer support which does not require you to have a cd to play it multiplayer, it just happens to be that the game in hand does not have this support!

    Thanks
    Dave

Note I am not condoning the illegal cracking of games, but i am not going to stop people if thats what they want to do.

Cracking isnt illegal if you own the game. Personally I crack every game I buy since I HATE using cd's.
I fined it a general pain in the rump to keep putting one cd in and out.

But, all in all that site does promote illegal activity, ex. cracking a .iso or .bin of a game you dl.
