C&C Red Alert 2 some problems

I've installed new motherboard and CPU
    ESC(or ECS) socket 478 P4 mother board with P4 1.8GHz,
the mother board support 4x AGP, but I have TNT2 M64 on it. When I play Red Alert 2, it skips a lot during movies, increditablely slow, take nearly 10 mins to play a 3 min. movie, but during gameplay it went smoothly.

Well, I don't think it has anything to do with the Graphic card, must be something wrong with the IDE CD-Rom drive thing, I'm really not sure.

My old AMD-500 with asus board went OK. Indeed, the movie used to be smoother than the gameplay before.

I just can't stand those movies. Anyone knows the problem???

I don't have RA2, so could you explore a little and post back with the type of file the animations are if possible?

When you installed the new motherboard and cpu, did you set this up with a freshly formatted hard drive, or did you just move the hard drive? Are all the motherboard drivers installed? Hard drive(s) and cdrom(s) have DMA checked?

And, have you installed the newest update for RA2?

My home computer never had access to the web, maybe that is the problem. Ok, I'll check the website and see if the up date can solve any problem. Or, I might just reinstall the game and see what happens. Thanks for replying.
