    removal of back orfice

    im trying to remove back orfice from my computer. i know that the file is .exe (space.exe) and it is in /windows/system. however, i am unable to delete the file. it tells me that it is write protected. anyone got any ideas?

    If it is an installed program, try using the unistall that came with it, or the add/remove programs in the windows control panel to remove it. If it is one file you wish to remove, shell to a dos prompt and go into the files directory. Try the command, attrib -h -s -a space.exe <enter> then exit the dos shell and attempt to delete the file again. Make sure it is not in use by the compouter (i.e. in the systray)

    go here http://www.moosoft.com/ and download and run "the cleaner". should fix ya right up.
